Sunrooms

If you need a little extra room in your home and don’t want to move, consider adding a beautiful sunroom to your living space. Sunrooms can be a four seasons room, meaning you can enjoy the extra space all year round, not just in the summer time. The added space and light will give you and your family the additional space you’ve been looking for. Sunrooms can also increase the value of your home. About five years ago, a sunroom addition could cost upwards of $100,000. Today, new materials and innovations in the manufacturing and installation process have dramatically reduced the costs. If you have ever considered an addition of any kind to your home, we urge you to review the information we are providing so you can make an educated decision on building a fine quality sunroom at a price you can afford.

There are several distinctive differences and choosing the right options can give you the space and feel you want. Options include glass floor to ceiling with transom windows and glass knee walls. There is a little less privacy with more glass but you decide based on the direction of your sunroom to your home. You may choose to have a solid knee wall for more privacy. Remember, sunrooms will give you a great amount of light with the large windows and doors for the walls. Choose if you would like an exit to the outside - we can do this with a patio door or an entry door. Consider having electrical outlets in the room as well. We can help you with the correct choices of energy efficient windows that will save you money.

What to expect in the construction process.

The first step in the sunroom construction process is site preparation. We measure walls, supporting beams, windows and everything else as we prepare to cut out and remove walls. In some cases, all required is to remove a door, but even in these cases there is measuring that occurs outside. For example, the ground must be measured and leveled edges cut in the yard and in some cases foundations are placed.
