Matthew and Lisa’s Columbia, MD, home had chipped old siding and no insulation. Should they scrape, paint and repair the existing siding, or replace? Because they needed insulation to make the home more energy efficient, the best solution would be to remove the rotting and damaged wood siding, insulate with raindrop vapor barrier, and side with low-maintanence, long-lasting vinyl siding. They were pleasantly surprised to learn that vinyl siding now came with a texture that replicated the wood they were tearing off.
Integrity Home Pro Specialist, Danny, was first to visit, giving Chris and Lisa a firm estimate on the cost and answering their questions about the process, the materials, and the timeline. Because the estimate was a fair price, and knowing that not only the materials, but the workmanship was warrantied, Chris and Lisa were happy with the estimate.
Once the preliminaries were agreed apon, the project moved into the capable hands of Crew Chiefs Shawn and Tracy, who brought their crews on the scene to demo the old wood and haul away the debris, install the rainbarrier, siding, and replace any rotted wooden trim (at no additional cost).
The finished result was a combination of beauty, low-maintanence, and energy efficiency completed in a timely manner for Matthew and Lisa, who were well pleased.
