Integrity Home Pro Case Studies: Termite Damage Repair

Challenge

Dan and Joanne initially wanted to replace their old wooden entry door and sidelights with a steel door and new sidelights, but when Integrity Remodeling Consultant, Ben, visited their home to give an estimate for installing a new steel door and sidelights, he discovered termite damage in the threshold and trim around the existing door.

It is Integrity’s policy to not upsell services for which the customer has not inquired. On the occasion that a team member discovers something amiss during the estimate process (leaks, mold, termite damage, etc), they will point it out to the customer. In Dan and Joanne’s case, this information was appreciated, and they chose to have the termite damage repaired at the time the new door was installed.

Solution

The Integrity Crew tore out the rotted and termite damaged areas of the threshhold and the trim, introduced supports between the floor joists, added new subfloor, then matched and installed the hardwood flooring near the doorway. Next came the Provia door and sidelite installations, new trim and the job was completed. Dan and Joanne were happy with the finished product, and glad that the termite damage was contained and repaired.

“I couldn't be happier with the job that Integrity Golden Rule did on my kitchen. They redid my flooring throughout, knocked down a wall to expand it and make it bigger, painted it and placed my appliances where i asked them to. They did all this on my budget and in a timely manner. My kitchen looks amazing. Thank you Integrity team!!!”
